Pressure to replace older hardware is mounting. 5 years should no longer be the lifetime of a server, blade, or workstation. In my experience, software to make use of these older systems requires too much specialized care. Every system I’ve encountered can boot to optical without much of any configuration. All we need is a disc with the desired server image.
